SMDI is currently conducting research on the impact of the financial crisis on microfinance institutions and on the repayment rates of microfinance institutions. In Spring 2010 SMDI will send two students to Bangladesh and India/Western Nepal to continue this research on the ground with its two partner organisation BRAC (Bangladesh) and Shivia (India/Western Nepa). SMDI will be paying for the flight as well as accomodation costs on the ground.
SMDI wants every student interested to have a chance to research on the ground and has therefore decided to open applications for membership in the Project teams.
